High Temps Mean Cool Stays with The Colonnade Hotel’s ‘Summer Meltdown’ Package

BOSTON, MA – July 7, 2008 – It’s not often that record-breaking heat and steamy temperatures are viewed favorably, but this summer, guests of The Colonnade Hotel will be celebrating Boston’s sultry evenings with the hotel’s ‘Summer Meltdown’ package.  Each Friday evening through September 6, 2008, guests who reserve this package pay the rate of $269 minus the temperature on the first night, based on the 5:00 p.m. reading by the National Weather Service, (i.e. if the temperature reads 69 degrees at 5:00 pm in Boston on the first night, guests pay $200), and then pay the room rate of $269 on Saturday night.

If the rate alone doesn’t entice travelers to pack their bags, guests will be further tempted by the hotel’s new Luxe Rooms, a $50 gas card and two complimentary frozen drinks at The Colonnade’s Roof Top Pool – the only roof top pool in Boston!  The package requires a minimum two-night stay Friday and Saturday and is subject to availability and applicable taxes.
